Advantages of Writing Movie Reviews

[ad_1]

Television commercials on new releases are enough to entice millions of movie lovers who run off to the movie theatres to watch those movies. These movie commercials are created to hoodwink the audience. A commercial tends to show that a movie is simply amazing, whereas when a movie buff actually sees it, he finds it to be a complete flop picture. Just by watching these commercials, movie buffs run to theaters and waste their money to watch flop films that do not even stay in the theaters for a week. There is one simple way through which movie buffs can actually save their money. They can visit various movie review websites, if they are keen to know about new releases. From these movie review sites, movie buffs come to know people’s opinions about a particular movie. On the basis of the review a movie buff can take his decision (whether to watch it in the theater or categorize it as a flop movie).

Movie review writing has become quite popular these days. With numerous movie review sites out there in the Internet, many people are actually writing genuine and useful film reviews. In fact, many content writing firms are hiring talented copywriters to write genuine and proper film reviews and then, posting these reviews to various movie sites. Apart from E book writing, blog writing and posting, website content writing and article writing, the firms rendering online content writing services, are urging their copywriters to write reviews on the newly released films. Individual movie critics are also writing film reviews. By checking the reviews, people can actually take their decision on watching a movie. A bad review of a newly released movie will definitely deter a person from watching that movie.

Most of the movie review websites are free sites where people can visit and read reviews any time they wish. The user can also register to some of the movie sites. This allows him to write reviews about the films he has watched. After all, others might also be interested to know about the films that you have watched. Registration is very simple procedure. All you need to do is to follow the steps and get your name registered in the particular site.

Among the varied movie review sites The New Release Hall, IMBD and the rottontomatoes.com offer the best reviews of the newly released films. The registration process is simple and once you are a registered member, you can read free film reviews and write and submit your own reviews as well. A bad movie can spoil your mood and interest. Moreover, it also burns a hole in your pocket as you spend dollars to watch a flop movie. So it is always better to visit one of the movie review sites, read the review of a newly released movie and then, decide whether it is worth watching in the theater.

Unique Selling Point: Why Should People Listen to You?

[ad_1]

There is no lack of gurus and experts on the internet. Take a look in any industry represented online and you will find numerous websites and blogs declaring that they are your number one source for information about the topic at hand. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. In fact, if you want to increase blog traffic and develop a dependable readership then you must position yourself as an expert in your field.

However, the number one question you need to ask before you spend the time and energy building your website is why should people listen to you?

What is the Value of You?

I’ve talked before about the value of knowing who your target market is and ensuring that you are giving them what they want. However, this goes a little bit above and beyond that. Let’s face it, you could probably swing a cat and hit at least ten other experts offering the same information you are providing the consumers in your market. What makes your advice better than your competition? What’s your edge?

What’s your unique selling point?

A unique selling point is something that makes you stand out from the crowd. It’s something people are not able to get from anyone else and the main reason your customers want to do business with you. It is why certain bloggers are able to command thousands of blog readers while others offering same exact information can only commandeer a few dozen. If you want to increase blog traffic, then you need to figure out what your unique selling point is and market that as a benefit to your readership.

For example, take two different types of soda: Pepsi and generic. Even though generic sodas are cheaper (sometimes as much as 50% less than brand name sodas) people still purchase Pepsi by the caseload. Why? Because of the taste.

Pepsi’s unique selling point is the way it tastes. That is something that cannot be replicated in generic brand sodas no matter what they may say on their packaging. When people purchase a Pepsi, they are confident they are going to get the taste they are after. That confidence dips significantly when they consider the generic brand. Even if the two brands are sitting side by side with an obvious price difference favoring the generic soda, people will pay more for the Pepsi.

Likewise, people will pay more attention to you if you have a unique selling point they like that they can’t get anywhere else.

Tips for Discovering Your Unique Selling Point

Discovering your unique selling point requires some research and some hard thinking about what you are truly offering your clients.

* Look at your top competition. How are they different from you? How are they similar? Read their blog posts. What posts are getting the most comments and why? Read their testimonials. What are the customers saying they love most about doing business with them? If the clients are reachable, you could even go undercover and ask for a recommendation and see what they say.

* Evaluate your target market. What things are most important to them? What problems are they trying to solve with the products, services, or information available in your industry? Is there a need that is not being fulfilled?

* Determine what is unique about your company. What are your values? What problems do you solve for your customers? How are your products better than your customers? If you are offering the same exact thing, how can you increase the value of them?

Finding your unique selling point may involve running with an idea and then fine tuning it over time. It is worth the effort, though, if you want to increase traffic to your website and develop a group of customers who love you and your business to the exclusion of everyone else.

Types of Social Networking Sites

[ad_1]

Social media has become a popular way to share information and content with others. Social Networking Sites are the sites that host social media. For those new to social media, it is good to know what types of social network sites there are and what each does.

Forums

Probably one of the first sites to allow for social interaction, forums have been around for a while. Forums are typically comprised of people with a similar interest. Users have conversations around a particular given topic and build up relationships with each other. They provide a great deal of information about a topic and is a great way to share your knowledge.

Blogs

People like to journal, and with the internet they wanted to share their lives more openly. Originally called web-logs, these personal journals have advanced. Some personal journals still exist, while other blogs discuss a particular niche or interest.

Micro-Blogging

Similar to blogs, this is a micro journal of what is happening right now. These sites can share what is going on in an individual life or can be information the individual wants to share. Major news events are now breaking online via microblogs. The best known microblog is Twitter.

PhotoSharing

Social Networking Sites are known for sharing of information, in this case photos. Users upload their pictures to Photo Sharing Sites. Rather than having to send individual pictures to family, you send a single link. You can tag your photos with keywords related to the image and allow people to comment. Some popular photosharing sites are Flickr and Picasa.

Video Sharing

YouTube is the video sharing site that almost everyone has seen. Videos are shared online, keywords are added so people can search for those terms or for the video title. People can comment if the video owner allows. Like other forms of social media it allows for a more personal look of the actual user.

Professional

Networking has long been touted as an asset in professional circles. Networking allows the person to connect with people and by those connections meet other professionals that person knows. Professional social media allows for that type of opportunity online. Thus if you move away from your home town you can still remain connected to your ex-coworkers and others in your profession. Linked In is one of the top professional social networking sites.

Social

After you have worked with people a while, they may become your friends. Then you have friends from church, from your school, and friends you have met in a wide variety of ways. Social networking sites are about being social, so there are sites purely for allowing users to stay in touch with people whom they know. While MySpace was the leader, the current leader is Facebook. It is growing around the world.

Bookmarking

The major purpose of these social networking sites is the sharing of information. If you read a web page that is interesting, informative, or inspirational you may choose to bookmark it. By doing this you are saying that you like it. Your friends will learn what you liked and can choose to read it. Pages that many people bookmark become popular and drive others to that page as well. Digg, Delicious, and StumpleUpon are very popular bookmarking websites.

Other formats

There are other types of social networking sites out there, some are very similar to the ones mentioned here. Many sites have a major form of socializing and then use the other types as a other ways for users to interact. People love to socialize and interact, so this is a growing field with ever more sites.

Augmenting Your Family Income

[ad_1]

Trying to augment your monthly income becomes a necessity as the cost of living spirals. For mothers who wish to be at home with their kids it becomes increasingly difficult to bring in an extra income. There are ways and means of bringing in extra money if you are satisfied with earning small amounts from various sources. There are many ways of earning extra cash online. This method of earning a living is very common and people no longer need to fear not being paid after they have completed a job.

1) Companies pay people to read their emails. The amount is very small per email, but considering how little time it actually takes to read an email the cents will quickly add up. Every dollar you make is a dollar you would not have had.

2) In conjunction with this, do surveys for companies. Many of them pay in cash or with vouchers and freebies. Concentrate on the cash ones, and see how many companies you can add to your list. It is not difficult to participate in surveys – just think of it as being paid for giving your opinion.

3) You might enjoy blogging, which can become lucrative if you find yourself working for someone who has a regular influx of work. It is great fun researching and then writing articles about various subjects. You could even get assignments to write e-books – very interesting if you enjoy writing. It could become quite lucrative to become a professional writer online.

4) Now that doing business online has become as common as going to the office everyday, try your hand at being a virtual assistant. You might wonder how you become one – it is much the same as being a personal assistant to someone in your office situation, the only difference being that you are the “unseen” assistant.

5) Many business people prefer to pay for jobs as they get done, rather than have someone permanently on their payroll. The tasks you will be given by various clients could be very varied and this would make your day far more interesting.

6) The fact is that whatever you have to do, whether it is typing a report for someone or arranging a function you are still at home with your kids and being paid for what you do. By doing a good job for a client will result in your services being used more often and could also result in referrals.

7) To start out as a virtual assistance you will have to set up a website on which to advertise your services. Give your qualifications, capabilities and a price list for anything you are prepared to do. It might take a little time to get your business going very well, but by doing a good job you will soon be getting referrals that could result in you getting a couple of very good clients.

Remember that all the small amounts of money will add up at the end of the month.

It might sound tedious to do these jobs, but think of it this way, I would rather be spending a few hours doing something boring and knowing that I am there for my kids than to have to leave them in daycare and be working for a boss all day.

What Do Your Customers Really Want to Know?

[ad_1]

Marketing – you can’t run a business without it.

The problem is you’re probably finding it a hit or miss affair. Sometimes, you hit the nail on the head and your marketing campaign results in loads of leads and new customers. Other times your ostensible magic words are met with silence, the phone doesn’t ring and you end up sitting with your head in your hands wondering where it all went wrong.

Whether you’re a social media fanatic, blogging hero, content writer extraordinaire, or a wizard at email marketing there’s one thing you must do to get your customers to buy.

Finding out what interests your customers is vital if you want them to take notice of the constant stream of messages you’re putting out.

So what is it?

What is the mystery thing that all your customers want to know about?

What is it that interests them?

The answer is simple; the answer is they’re interested in themselves.

That’s right – they don’t care about your business, where your premises are, whether you’re the market leader (everyone says that), or a great innovator (yawn), all they want to know is how you are going to help them.

How selfish!

You’ve spent years building up your business. You’ve weathered economic downturns, fluctuations in your market place and umpteen rows at home because of the number of hours you spend at the office, and your customers don’t care.

But then again, why should they?

None of that’s going to help them, is it?

The only way they’re going to spend their hard earned cash with you is if you can convince them that their lives will be greatly improved by your product or service.

It’s the same reason why you buy things, and yet it’s easy to forget that when you’re putting your marketing materials together.

Forget about your business

When crafting your message, put yourself and your business to the back of your mind.

Every thought you have must centre on your customer.

· Who are they?

· What problem do they have?

· How can you help them?

· What can you offer them that will solve their problem?

There’s no room for a tempting “We’re the best at what we do” spiel.

The cold hard fact about marketing is that there’s no room for your ego. The only thing that matters is what you can do for your customer. Keep everything you write focused on them, and you’ll see your sales increase.

Network Marketing Tips For Success

[ad_1]

A lot of people are online looking for the next best network marketing tips that will send their business to new heights, but the reality is that there is no magic pill that will make everything perfect. The reality is that the best network marketing tips used by the best marketers are the time-tested and battle proven techniques and methods that have been used by Internet marketers for a long time. Using these methods and techniques, professional marketers will develop an overall strategy for success

One of the network marketing tips that I and a lot of marketers use is creating a simple WordPress blog. A blog gives the professional an exceptional platform to market their programs, affiliate products, tools and even their own brand. Having a blog with a unique domain name is a must for the multilevel marketer that is working to brand themselves as an expert and can provide them with a lot of credibility as well.

Once a marketing professional has a blog in place, it is a matter of creating valuable and quality content to put on the blog. You will also want to have the ability to post videos and perhaps an advertising banner or two in the side bar. As far as the content that you place on your blog is concerned make sure you don’t take a short cut here. Start with doing some research.

When internet marketing professionals talk about research online we are generally referring to keyword and key phrase research. This is the research that is conducted in order to tap into existing markets to divert highly targeted traffic to your blog, website or even a splash page with an opt-in form. This is one of the main network marketing tips that you never want to skimp on as doing this properly can ensure that you will get your pages to the first page of the search engines like Google, but doing this poorly will set you back a long way.

One of the best ways to drive this targeted traffic to your blog, and this is one of those network marketing tips that you need to master, is by writing articles. Article marketing is probably one of my favorite traffic generation methods and for a few reasons. First of all, submitting articles to high quality article directories that are already considered “authority” sites with a high page rank gives you a lot of “link juice” with the back-links that you get back to your site.

Second, learning to write articles gives you a bit of flexibility in terms of being able to craft an article around a key phrase or keyword that gets a lot of traffic. If you are able to write a quality article or blog post then you will be able to generate quite a bit of traffic to your blog and ultimately to your programs.

Other network marketing tips that you will want to keep abreast of are:

1)Additional traffic generation methods

2)Generating leads for your program

3)Converting leads into customers and team members

4)Training your team members

While there are no red “easy” buttons to push to put your multilevel marketing program on the path to quick riches, utilizing the proper methods and strategies consistently will get you closer to your goals as an online network marketer. While this can be simple rather than easy it does bring up one of the most effective tips of all and that is to develop and employ a genuine work ethic. If you aren’t willing to work hard to build your dream lifestyle, then who is? Remember that massive effort will have massive results.

No matter what you have been told, realize that you are developing a business and part of creating a successful business requires a vision and the commitment to see that vision to reality. If you are truly ready to create the lifestyle that most only fantasize about, investing the time is going to put you ahead of the crowd. While there aren’t any network marketing tips to make this path and journey to success easy and effortless, I do think that most network marketing professionals would agree that reaching your goals and realizing your dreams is worth the trip.

Changing With The Times: Technical Writing In The 21st Century

[ad_1]

Technical Writers design, write, edit and update end user documentation such as: Installation, User, Administration, Configuration Guides, Online Help Files, Portable Document Format (PDF) files, Presentations, Specifications, etc. Technical Writing in the 21st century, by necessity, is changing with the times. These changes require us to learn new skills/delivery systems that take into account new modalities and methods that end users/customers use to search for and access information. We have evolved into Information Designers/Architects, who to thrive have learned new skills like: Video capturing, Demo creation, Blog posting and Usability testing skills. This article examines the new skills that we need today to succeed as Technical Writers, aka Information Designer/Architect in the second decade of the 21st century.

Technical Writing has become much more visual than in the past when static Diagrams, Screen Captures, Charts were utilized to help you explain how products worked or should be installed. Traditional static documentation is still in use; however, today, it is important for us to learn video skills that enable them to create Video Tutorials, Demos with video capturing tools like Captivate and Camtasia, for example. These tools enable you to create highly visual, step-by-step video/audio tutorials that your target audience can easily follow the instructions/message you want to convey to them in a way that previous static user guides never could. In fact, old style Technical documentation, oftentimes, was little used, if at all; because it was difficult locating the information users needed. With the transition to video/audio tools solidly underway and the advent and implementation of Web 2.0 Social Media Networking sites, Blogs, Wikis and Video sharing sites they have changed the way that messages move across the Internet, and with it Technical Writers have assumed new responsibilities as Technical Writing has moved increasing, online.

Changing with the times, also means embracing blogging and other Web 2.0 Social Media Networking tools to get our message across to customers. What exactly is a blog? The word blog is the combination of two words, web and log. As Bloggers, we add commentary, graphics, video and other information called blog post to the Blog on a regular basis, usually weekly. In some companies, we have assumed the responsibility of designing and writing blog posts to our organization’s customers and answer their feedback via the comments they post on the blog. Also, in some companies we are becoming more actively involved in designing, organizing and running interactive forums where customers can join, ask questions and get answers to common problems that are less cost intensive and time consuming than the old telephone support method. We are evolving from our traditional role as teachers and interpreters of new product usage between a product’s developers and customers to becoming much more involved in product architecture, usability and testing.

Going and gone are the days when we wrote end user documentation and delivered it to customers without doing all we can to make sure that the information customers are interested in locating is accessible and user-friendly. Today, we are working with application and hardware developers to ensure that customers can find the information they need quickly and as user-friendly as possible. This means that we not only write user documentation; but engage in usability testing to help the customer access the specified information they need, without scanning through information that is not of interest to them.Technical Writing in the 21st century by necessity are changing with the times. No longer can we approach our tasks as we did in the past. To continue to evolve and succeed we must acquire new skills like Video capturing, Blogging, Usability Testing and other skills that enhance and supplement established end user documentation modalities: User manuals, Online Help, Implementation guides, etc. The examples cited in this article are only a few of the many ways that Technical Writing in the 21st century is changing with the times.

It is advisable to get a reliable internet access, one that runs at least 2MBPs or more to be able to attend to your daily activities on the internet. A lower speed may prove to be stressful when trying to meet and beat deadlines as well as when updating online templates and doing web design. Anything less also fails to meet requirement of clients and freelancing websites. Thus trusted home phone and internet bundles will help make your online freelancing career even more feasible.

Here are some of the tips you can follow to start and build a professional career online.

Create an online portfolio

Before finding clients and trying to land a job online, you need to create an online portfolio. It can be your Name.com or a blog under a free hosting platform like Weebly, Blogger, or WordPress to begin with. Include credentials, training, sample works, and a few details about yourself in this page. This can be a simple website with a few pages attached where potential clients can download and read samples of your work. A contact page is also essential.

Build your connections

You have most likely met a colleague who also happens to work online. You can include him as one of your references on your online portfolio. You can also add your past managers and supervisors as references. Be sure to inform your colleagues about them being one of your trusted references online. You can also include testimonials from past clients as well as their contact information to be able to provide your potential clients a reliable source of firsthand information about you and your performance as a professional online freelancer.

It is also important to keep in touch with your past clients from time to time to be aware of possible projects that may be available for you to do.

Update your social media accounts

Social media is also a big factor in building your career and connections online. LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter are just some of the social media sites you should have to be able to build credibility and your authenticity as a real individual working online. LinkedIn is a very good source of connections as well so you must really take advantage of the feature it offers. If you would want to keep your Facebook and Twitter feeds private, it would be advisable to have a separate Twitter account or a Facebook page for your business or brand. Past clients can post comments and testimonials in these social media pages as well.

Utilize marketing strategies

Take advantage of the free marketing strategies on the internet for your online business and online services. Post feeds on your social media accounts. Submit guest posts to increase your presence online, write press releases and publish them on free PR websites. Join forums and Q&A websites and the likes. The more you expose yourself and your brand online, the higher are the possibilities of getting clients and projects.

Advertise your business

As you see your business grow, you tend to meet competitors along the way. Advertise your business to create an edge over your competitors. Target your market well and utilize the right keywords to be able to make your business more visible and on top of search engines. This may take time but with the right strategies, you can practically be a preferred choice over similar professional services if you market your business well.

5 Tasks Your Online Home Business Can Do On Autopilot

[ad_1]

When you run an online home business time and money are limited. So you ensure that you can devote as much time as possible to tasks that generate income. The most successful online businesses use automation in some form or another. You just can’t keep up with everything if you try and handle them manually. Here are 5 ways you can automate tasks for your online home business.

1. Blog Post Publishing

To rank well in the search engines and stay relevant you need to post new and high quality content onto your website a regular basis. The best way to do this is to set up a blog. When you have a blog post ready to publish, you don’t want to have to log into your website and carry out this task manually. All of the top blogging platforms, like WordPress, have built-in scheduling capabilities. This means you can write several posts at once, and schedule them for specific publishing dates in the future.

2. List-Building

One of the most important tasks for your online home business is developing a list of email subscribers. Whenever someone visits your website, offer them a free resource or product in return for their email address. Your autoresponder software can then send them your freebie on autopilot. You can literally schedule a year’s worth of email delivery ahead of time. This improves the relationship you have with your audience.

3. Social Media

Social media allows you reach out and connect with your target audience. The online world has become very social and your customers are using platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Your online home business needs to be on social media too, but it takes a lot of time to log-in to all the social media sites every day. There are plenty of social media automation tools which can schedule your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+ and Instagram posts.

4. Comment Moderation

Your website content can become a magnet for internet trolls and spam. Akismet software saves you time by filtering incoming comments that are nothing more than click-bait, trash and self-serving backlinks.

5. Website Research

Google Alerts will send you a notification every time a relevant search term or topic appears somewhere on the web. For example, if your online home business is about childcare, you can set up a Google alert for “child car-seat guidelines”. Ensure your search terms are included in quotes or you could be bogged down with the amount of notifications you receive.

5 Internet Marketing Tactics That Will Boost Your Brand Online

[ad_1]

Internet marketing is the process of promoting your business on the world wide web. It’s not unusual for new online entrepreneurs to become overwhelmed trying to understand things like Search engine optimization, content marketing, Cost-per-click, Pay-per-click, keyword phrases and many more.

To help get you started if you’re new to the online business world, or even if you’re a seasoned pro, here are 5 internet marketing tactics that are proven to boost your brand online.

1. Email Marketing

Reading emails is the number one activity online (94% of people online send or receive emails, whereas 83% use a search engine and 61% use social media). In worldwide research conducted with marketing professionals they stated that email marketing was the most powerful online marketing technique. You can use emails to connect with your audience and build your brand using discounts, information on sales and by providing valuable and useful information for your audience.

2. Social Media

Social media is another powerful internet marketing tool. But don’t waste of your time striving to be on every single platform. It’s better to do your research and pinpoint which ones will be most influential for your online business. It’s better to have one really good social media site rather than numerous poorly managed sites.

3. Blogging

Blogging is an effective way to boost your business, catch the attention of potential customers and maintain relationships with your current customers. Fresh and regularly updated content engages your target audience and also helps your website rankings in the search engines.

4. Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization is the process of organizing your website so that the search engines will list it in their search page search results. This organic, or unpaid traffic, includes how you insert words and phrases (known as your keywords) on to your web pages. These keywords are what your audience will type into a search engine when they are looking for the products and services that you sell online.

5. Content Marketing

If your website does not have good, valuable content that is useful to your audience then your online business has no value to your audience. Content can be read, watched, listened to and shared. Constantly deliver, on a regular basis, the best quality content you can. Create it for a human audience to read, watch or listen to, rather than for a search engine robot to pick up keywords. You can’t just stuff keywords into webpages, blogs, articles etc.
