5 Real Ways to Make Money Online

[ad_1]

This has always been a great question, and there are many different schools of thought on this subject.

A person could argue products like software, eBooks, and virtual information are amongst the most marketable as they are easy to duplicate and have no shipping costs. It’s true a virtual product can absolutely simplify your post-sale process, however are they truly the best overall product strategy? In my opinion it all comes down to the demand, then the numbers. Calculate what price you can create or retain a product for and then calculate what price you can sell it for while keeping in mind advertising, shipping, and other expenses that fall between those two processes.

Determine your total costs from start to finish. I wouldn’t even consider selling a product or service that fetches me any less than 80 percent gross profit per unit, unless it had a great backend or up-sell strategy or some type of recurring subscription based profit model.

lf you find that managing inventory or working with suppliers and drop shippers is more slanted towards your personal experience then work with a product that feels comfortable with you, you will benefit from the familiarity. The importance of comfort might just be the most influential factor for me when choosing a product to wrap around your marketing. Many people want to sell online but have no idea what products to sell. In my experience selling something for profit alone with no personal passion can be a mistake and I have found that building an email list for marketing and growing your brand is a cheap effective way to get started quickly.

5 Products you can sell and make money using “email marketing”.

  1. Digital products and virtual services. Digital products are easy to duplicate, store, and ship digitally via email or file sharing service.
  2. Affiliate marketing programs. Many companies online look for enthusiastic individuals to resell their products or services. Scrolling to the footer of a business’s website will typically link to any affiliate program if offered. You can also search for specific affiliate programs that suit your needs.
  3. Trendy products that are in demand. Great way to let product buzz and word of mouth help your cause. The Google Trends tool will show you the current trends of your product ideas based on total search volumes. This can be a great way to determine what’s currently popular.
  4. Start your own business. Get creative and bring your ideas online with a website or product page selling your creations, products or services. Accepting payments is easy these days with services like PayPal and all you need to do is promote your website using email marketing.
  5. Freelance writing services, or create a blog. Writing can be an interesting and rewarding way to make money online. You can publish and sell eBooks, blog posts can generate revenue from ads or affiliate links, sponsors, or you can write about your current products for sale.

When sending email in large volumes always be sure you choose a true high volume, web-based email marketing software that can grow with your ongoing success.

May I Or Can I Send You an Email?

[ad_1]

There is a real difference between “May I send you an email?” and “Can I send you an email.” And I’m not just talking about which question to ask your prospective subscriber.

In case you’re wondering now that I’ve mentioned it, WordTask defines “may” as expressing permission or possibility, while “can” expresses ability.

In email marketing, the first question…”May I send you an email?” is the essential question you’re asking your prospective subscriber when getting permission to send her an email. This is where you need to be really clear about what you’re asking permission to send, and she needs to be really clear about what she’s giving you permission to send.

The “Can I send you an email” is an entirely different story. Your ability to actually deliver the email is, however, is still a bit of permission. Not so much the asking permission…the “May I?” because there’s really no one to ask permission of…but the finding out through testing whether you can actually get the email to move all the way from your “out basket” to your intended recipient’s “in basket.”

This is the more technical side of email marketing, and it can be much trickier.

The “can” for email marketing consists of whether your prospective subscriber has the right kind of software to receive your email in the format you’ve designed it…and…(the part about finding out if you got permission without saying “Mother may I?”) is whether you can (have the ability to) get your content and layout to pass through the permission police of the numerous spam filters currently used by Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) as well as any additional filters added by your prospective subscriber.

The first part of the “Can…” in terms of whether your subscriber can actually read what you send is getting somewhat easier, as computer operating systems and software upgrades now permit most email users to read HTML, PDF and text. However, it’s certainly not 100%, so part of your “May I send you emails?” questionnaire is “In what format would you like to receive your emails?” so you will know what she can read on her computer, as well as what she may prefer.

The second part of “Can I” (your ability to physically get the email delivered) also involves an action on her part and that is…she must “whitelist” you…or add you to her acceptable contacts list, as well as confirm the opt-in, so that your emails won’t automatically be sent to her “junk mail. “

Now that you’ve gotten that far, the last barrier on the “Can you get the email through” is the most difficult…and quite frankly, may best be left to the experts. Especially if you’re quickly developing a large email list. The experts at getting past the spam filters are email marketing services, who act as your agent, have developed a “relationship” with the ISP’s. They know and understand what words, phrases, graphics, and other testing criteria may cause your messages to be considered “spam, ” and cause them to be blocked before they can be received.

At Toptenreviews.com, you can see that the three highest ranked email marketing services are Icontact, Benchmark, and ConstantContact. They are not the only email marketing companies that you might consider, but using someone in this field can make a significant difference in whether your email message can get through to the intended recipient’s inbox.

There you have it. Once you have permission, you may send the email. And, once you understand the formats and filters, (and probably obtained a little professional assistance) you can get your emails into the proper inbox.

Email Templates and Retina Ready Images

[ad_1]

There isn’t any doubt that we have an increasing number of mobile devices which support Retina Displays. It became a web-standard now, like responsive design. Email Marketing shouldn’t be any different, your precious email campaign deserves crystal clear images as much as any other website on the world wide web do.

First things first… What is Retina Display?

It is a brand name used by Apple. A “Retina Ready” image viewed with a device that supports retina displays has a high density of pixel count, enough that our eye is unable to notice any pixelation. Similar technologies also used on various brands with different operating systems, like Android OS and Windows OS.

What is the advantage of using Retina Ready images, and what if I ignore to use them in my email campaign?

If you use Retina Ready images (we will discuss it in a minute), images in your email will look sharp and crystal clear, on both Retina and non-Retina devices. But if you don’t, the images in your email will look blurry when displayed on a device supporting Retina displays. In other words, regular images will be displayed blurry by devices that have retina support.

So, what is the solution? What is the trick to make my images (and my email template) Retina ready?

The trick is, to create the image at TWICE the size you actually plan on displaying it. And then, shrink it down for the Retina Displays. This will double the pixel density of your image. Let’s assume that you want to use an image with a width of 250 pixels, and with a height of 100 pixels. If you want to serve a Retina Ready image with your email, then you should double the image size. In other words, you should use an image with a width of 500 pixels and with a height of 200 pixels. Then the trick will be shrinking the image down to the width of 250px and to the height of 100px within our HTML code.

My images are ready now, what about the HTML code?

After calculating your image’s dimensions, now it is our code’s turn to shrink it down for a higher density of pixels. If you’re never dealt with HTML before, please do not be afraid, it is very easy. In HTML, images are served with an HTML tag called img. In our case, the important parts are the width and height attributes of the img tag.

Let’s remember the dimensions of our image: width=500px and height=200px

<img src=”myimage.jpg” alt=”company logo” width=”250″ height=”100″/>

Thus, we just shrunk our image, serving it as retina ready for the retina devices.

Biggest Mistake Email Marketers Make

[ad_1]

Email marketing is the one of the original forms of online marketing and good email marketing results to a good business. We also know that there’s good and bad email marketing which we encounter in our daily business process. That’s why there’s a lot of training materials and coaches to enhance our ideas to create a better email marketing strategy to have a successful business.

I recently asked a group of marketers this question:

“When you send an email to your list, what’s your #1 goal?”

Some of the answers I got were…

· To get readers to open it

· To get readers to READ it

· To give some useful info

· To build rapport

· To sell a product

Those are all good answers…

But they’re also all WRONG answers.

Of course you want them to open the email, read the email, build some rapport, maybe give some useful info, but none of these are your primary objective.

So what is?

To get the CLICK.

That’s it.

Everything else is simply in support of that #1 goal, getting them to click the link you send to them.

Ideally, you want to train your list to click your links like (pardon me here) mind-numb robots.

You want them to click automatically – without thinking – because it’s what they always do when they open your emails.

You don’t need to sell the product – the sales page or video you send them to should do that for you.

You don’t need to tell them everything about the blog post you’re sending them to – the post will do that for you.

Your job is simply to get the click.

So how can you improve your click-through rate?

1. Give great information. People will like you and TRUST you if you give them great info that helps them. Clicking the link is just a natural extension of that.

2. Show them the ‘what’ but not the ‘how.’ You might give them a really useful tip on what drives super targeted traffic, but to learn how to do it they need to click the link. And yes, that link goes to a product you want them to buy. You haven’t sold the product in the email, but you have sold them on the method. The product is simply an easy shortcut to using that method to get the result.

3. Don’t always send them to sales letters; send them to fun stuff, too. Show them your blogposts, your videos and even other people’s stuff now and then. Did you see a video on YouTube that taught you something really valuable or made you laugh out loud? Try sharing it with your list. Remember, you want to get them in the habit of automatically clicking your links. And giving them rewards when they do, like useful information or a good laugh, will teach them to do just that.

4. Now and then surprise them with a free product. Your email tells them a method to list build using Facebook. Then you send them to a link that will give them 5 more list building methods. And when they click the link, they see a very short sales page offering the product for FREE. How much do you think they love you right now? And what are the odds they will click more of your links in the future, just in case there’s another free product on the other side?

Of course, your list and your niche may call for slightly different methods. But bottom line, your primary, number one goal of email marketing is ALWAYS to get the click.

Because the more trained your list is to click, the more money you will make in the long run.

Bulk Email Marketing – How It Works

[ad_1]

The advertisement of a brand, product, or service through the electronic mail is called email marketing. This type of internet marketing can be used to gain new customers or improve the relationship between the current customers and the business. Email marketing is sent to one customer. A business can also use a subscription service, rely on customers giving the business referrals, or paying a small fee to an email broker. When reaching out to new customers a company will generally use a combination of all of these methods. The question is why have the emails of potential customers and sending them out one at a time. The answer is to use bulk emailing. This is when the company sends the same or almost the same message to many email recipients.

To do bulk email the company will need special software. This software will take each single e-mail address from the list and send a single message to each one. The number of recipients of these emails can range from hundreds to thousands. It depends on the size of the company and its customer base or how many potential new customers they want to reach. Although bulk emailing is thought of as a direct marketing tool used by a large company it can also be used by individuals and small businesses. For individuals, bulk emailing could be used to share family photos, send out invitations to an even such as a family reunion, or to spread the news on a special event. The information would only be sent to family and friends the individual would know.

A business, large or small, often launches an email marketing campaign as a method of promoting services or products to customers. This type of campaign can be used to reach existing or prospective customers. Some companies will create different versions of their bulk email and create unique messages that are targeted at certain groups of customers or individuals. Bulk emailing is a technique that lets the marketer communicate easily with a bigger number of recipients at the same time it can also permit them to do it in a personalized way. For example, it will allow the company the management of the mailing lists so they can target communications to a diverse number of subscribers. It will also let the marketer segregate the recipients based on their requirements and interests.

If a company wants to use the email system as their promotional means, bulk emailing can be a valuable too. It does not necessarily constitute bulk emailing as spam but many times spam campaigns are launched using this type of mailing. If you are using bulk email marketing some potential customers may think it is spam and delete it.

Email Marketing, Know When and How to Contact Your Customers

[ad_1]

Email marketing is a cost-effective solution. It allows taking quick action, assessing results and improving performance over time, even with little resource investment. Taking full advantage of email marketing is possible if your email has content to encourage subscribers and looks good to take action, besides the email should actually get delivered to your subscribers.

Marketers should use email marketing so that they connect target audience. Today, different strategies are open to marketers, yet email marketing is the integral part of such campaigns offering the best ROI. Of course, it is not any silver sword. Thus, there is a need for your efforts in email marketing to be effective. Think marketing strategies and turn it around using customer behaviors. Here are some useful tips:

Personalize your Customers

A lot of marketers fail to pay attention to their customers. Human beings always like to be acknowledged personally and this is easy to do. Simply sending out emails is not going to work. In fact, use the feedback to segment the email list and make sure you segment the list. Thus provide assurance to the customers that you are going through their minds.

Transform the Sales Funnel

The journey of a customer is important within the marketing field. Mapping customer journey involves charting various touch points as to how and why the customers will tell what they are looking for. Combine relevant demographic information and customize the sales funnel depending on the customer type.

Optimize and Re-test

Always optimize and re-test various email campaigns. Effective testing helps in ascertaining the strategies and they remain potent as before. Having an email regular marketing campaign is a magic element and it boosts your ROI, but using this as the opportunity, you must not bother your customers as it becomes overkill. Customers will not always react as you expect and also do not like being bombarded every day with promotional emails. You must give a break and stay at a safe distance without giving the feel of being pestered.

Define a schedule and stick to it. If you promise they will receive a weekly email, make sure you do not cross the limit. Also eliminate the email automation that accompanies the email marketing campaign. Check feedbacks of your customers and respond respectively.

Go Mobile

Staying online is a must and email marketing has its advantages. The fact is that now people make use of the internet through mobile devices. Regardless of the device, ensure your emails are mobile optimized so that as they try reading the email, it gets adjusted automatically to fit the screen. Optimizing email suitable to go mobile is easier. Majority of emailing providers provide automatically with optimized mailing campaigns.

Final thoughts

Email marketing helps staying online and customers also like staying in contact. Remember, marketers though you have the option of email marketing, ensure to do it value. Adopt the practices of big corporate and increase the subscribe rates. Also contact in a schedule time that your customers will not miss your email and you can transform them into leads.

Best Practices of Email Marketing to Generate More Leads

[ad_1]

Email marketing may or may not get the attention, but there is no doubt that it is a terrific way to convert more prospects and generate leads for your business. Here are some best practices for email marketing that you can use for your business to generate more leads.

Email Marketing Assuring Lead Generation

· Follow 3 Typefaces: This assures less clutter in the email and will have more positive conversions. Keep fewer to 3 typefaces, so that your email is not any junk.

· Include Incentives: In the subject line include incentives to increase open rates to 50%. The incentives you offer should have real value such as you may offer free shipping on spending $25 and more. The subject lines should have incentive focused addressing that it should not miss viewers eye.

· Crisp message: Ensure to keep the main message clear and crisp calling to action. The call to action should be apparent so that recipients truly see it and it may be repeated throughout the email for at least 3 or 4 times.

· Wider pixels: Going wider with pixels is best, so that they get to read it in a readable way. But, ensure that you do not go over 650 pixels or else your users have to read the message taking a horizontal scroll and that is a strict no.

· Place your logo: A common practice is that people look for logo instinctively to the upper left side of the email and so placing your logo to the left hand upper side ensured most visibility.

· Gripping subject lines: Good subject lines must not be more than 30 to 50 characters. Short and sweet should be practiced such that it creates urgency for the readers and also gives them an indication about what should be expected on opening the mail. This anticipation is important for your email to get lead generation.

· Use Auto-responders: Using an auto-responder is very helpful as it will remind people about your email database that they opted. Once the person registers, your auto-responder should be sent once in a day, keeping a distance of 5 or 10 days. Each email of auto-responder should include bonus material or content rewarding the reader for registering in with you.

· Bind emails to landing pages: The email should match the landing page with respect to headline, content and copy. The feel and look of your landing page must meet the requirements of the email. Ascertain to use tracking tools and see the landing pages or email that receives proper response and is performing the best.

· Hold a second test: As a test, send the email to your close friend and check if the call to action has some pull and ask them to tell what your call to action is informing. If they are unable to tell, keep working and create a new test.

There are new tools getting good attention these days. Bear in mind always that the old tools are faithful and reliable to get most of the marketing initiatives.
